LOS GATOS, Calif., Jan 28. , 2021: iMerit, a leading data annotation and enrichment company, has appointed Carol Bothwell, a global leader in IT transformation, to lead its new Infrastructure and Information Security office.
In today’s hyperconnected world, the challenges of protecting the security and privacy of client data against increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks is top of mind at iMerit. In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, iMerit successfully transitioned to a highly secure WFH/WFO staffing model that can quickly be adapted to the unique needs of its clients.
Today, through its investment in people, infrastructure and processes, iMerit is able to offer client services across all its offices that comply with international security and privacy standards including ISO 27001, SOC 2 and HIPAA.
iMerit’s new Infrastructure and Information Security office is focused on the use of advanced security solutions and practices that enable iMerit to keep pace with its rapid growth, its expansion into highly regulated industries, and the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Carol Bothwell, an iMerit Board alumnus, is no stranger to the use of new and innovative solutions to problems encountered in rapidly changing environments. As Chief Information Officer for Catholic Relief Services (CRS) she transformed the IT function into a global organization serving offices in over 60 countries and had a major impact on the international relief and development community’s use of mobile technology to achieve development goals. As CSC’s first Chief Knowledge Officer, she conceived and implemented an industry-acclaimed knowledge management program. During her tenure, Carol led CSC to become one of the first global IT providers to receive Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute’s coveted highest maturity rating.
