KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Position

We are looking for a Marketing Operations Manager with around 6-8 years of experience. You are a self-starter who takes the initiative and can work closely with a team of marketers, senior company executives, and agencies. You should be a dynamic high-energy individual with a positive, can-do attitude. You possess an analytical mindset, sound judgment, excellent creative instincts and very strong communication skills, verbal and written.  You must have the interest and the desire to deeply connect with the culture of iMerit and be a part of its global growth journey. There is substantial opportunity for ownership of marketing initiatives and visibility within the company.

Your main responsibilities will include ensuring smooth global marketing operations, working with top management to coordinate and execute all types of marketing activities, both outbound and inbound for iMerit, and to drive rigor in measuring marketing metrics. This position is based in Kolkata but will have involvement with all the company’s global operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure execution of the company’s global marketing strategy with quick turnaround times by coordinating between internal team members and stakeholders and external vendors
  • Align marketing framework throughout the organization
  • Develop and maintain a rigorous reporting approach to measure marketing attribution

About the Role

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Sales team. As an SDR at iMerit, you will play a key role in building out the lead generation engine that supports our fast-growing business. Director of Engineering (Software) Responsibilities:

The Director of Engineering plays a key role in connecting the various platform and application initiatives of the company with the business needs, by building and leading a high performance team of engineers, testers and product managers. This is an opportunity to build some great technology on modern stacks while inculcating best practices. You will be working with multiple serial entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley and serving clients in cutting edge sectors.

The Director of Engineering will work with the team of engineers to set goals, plan projects, build a timeline, and stay within budget. Their duties and responsibilities also include project management, hiring new team members, presenting budgets and plans to other departments, and meeting with upper-level management. As part of their responsibilities they are expected to:

  • Take ownership for leading and managing the Engineering & QA teams to deliver on business & product priorities. Plan and direct all aspects of engineering activities and projects within iMerit.
  • Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization’s established policies and objectives. Utilize best practice engineering methods and provides expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives. Incorporate components, materials, and tools that result in quality output.
  • Define and organize development teams and closely collaborate with Product Management to plan development.
  • Define, implement and monitor Best Practices for AGILE development across all development teams; if needed implement training & coaching for development teams.
  • Define architecture of major product components.
  • Drive and enable ongoing technical and soft skills coaching and development of team members.
  • Keep company leadership team apprised of development priorities, personnel and planning.
  • Lead and enforce best practices (architecture council, code reviews, go/no-go calls) for ensuring high quality working software as deliverables.
  • Empower QA team to play an important “policing” role in ensuring quality of the code.

Qualifications:

  • Typically holds MS  in Computer Science and has 12+ years of industry experience.
  • Previous experience leading large engineering i.e., software development teams, developing talent, and coaching engineers, a must.
  • Proactive in taking ownership of role, output and teams.
  • Expert in AGILE software development practices.
  • Collaborative and comfortable in presenting to top management.
  • Previous experience shipping production quality working software.
  • Strong technical background in multiple domains across full stack of front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Has worked with and has extensive knowledge of.
    • multiple programming languages including C/C++, Java, JS, Python.
    • web and cloud stack like MEAN / LAMP.
    • Frameworks like Angular, Node, Laravel.
  • Interested in working with/in new AI/ML initiatives.
  • Ability/Openness to work with distributed teams across different time zones and cultures.
